Welcome to the Chantale Nadeau Model Placement North event. Chantale Nadeau will host her first red carpet event & model search final in Barrie, Ontario, on August 10th, 2019. Chantale Nadeau Model Placement originated 15 years ago and has since discovered and represented some of Canada's top models.
Hosted by Barrie native and top model, Sarah Jackson, this unique black-tie event will unite accomplished models and a select group of finalists in a lively, entertaining evening. If you'd love to mingle with the elite of Canadian fashion, don't miss this extraordinary event.

A native of Barrie, Ontario, Sarah Jackson is a Canadian model and actress. Discovered in 2002 by Chantale Nadeau, she is best known for her work with brands like Jockey International, Fantasie Lingerie, Thierry Muglar, and L'Oreal. She has studied at Armstrong Acting Studios in Toronto and has appeared in a variety of commercials, television series, and feature films. Sarah owns a successful restaurant in Barrie. Sarah remains a dedicated community volunteer, Rotarian, and enthusiastic mother to her 8-year-old son, Cash Jackson. She continues to model to this day.
Oscar Mendoza is a Canadian-Mexican designer based in Montreal. With a background in Visual Arts and Sound Design, he enrolled in the Fashion Pattern Making program at Montreal's Lasalle College. There he studied under the lauded Montreal designer, Joseph Helmer. Mendoza launched his eponymous brand in 2013. His vision remains to design and fabricate unique pieces that complement and bring distinction to the wardrobes of contemporary men and women.
Chantale Model Search North will be the premiere showing of the Oscar Mendoza collection in Ontario. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase from his fall 2019 collection at this event.
Originally born in England, Chris has been taking pictures since his early days as an awkward teenager in the wilds of Canada, discovering he had a real knack for capturing the light. It may be in his blood, as his grandfather established a portrait studio in Taunton, England, in the 1940’s which still exists to this day.
Chris is well known for his fashion & beauty photography- both editorial and commercial work- as well as his celebrity portraiture. His photographic style is celebrated for his sensitive use of light and colour.
He has photographed many of the world’s top models such as Kate Moss, Lara Stone, Jessica Stam, Jourdan Dunn, Soo Joo Park, Sasha Pivovarova, Shalom Harlow, Emily DiDonato, Claudia Schiffer, to name a few. His celebrity work includes Miley Cyrus, Lana del Rey, Lorde, Courtney Love, Clare Danes, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and many others.
Chris loves to be busy, and is known for being able to deliver stellar work in virtually any style of photography. He excels both in studio and on location and never shies away from large scale productions, including more recent forays into the world of video and commercials.
His work can be seen in many retail and beauty campaigns throughout Canada and the US, as well as on the covers & editorials of many magazines around the world including Elle Canada, Elle China, Elle Russia, Seventeen Magazine, Marie Claire, Fashion Magazine, Rolling Stone, EnRoute and many others.

A bilingual artist with a sparkling and engaging personality, Alexandre has been called on as a beauty expert on-camera -- as well as for radio, print, and live events. He has appeared on CBC News, TVA News, and has hosted beauty segments on VTele. He has also been featured in multiple interviews for a range of fashion and lifestyle magazines.
Alexandre has worked with international beauty brands like Garnier, Mac Cosmetics, Burt's Bees, Makeup Forever, Clarins, Vichy, Mary Kay, and Avon. He has participated in print shoots for Nike, Simons, La Vie en Rose, Bikini Village, and Davines. His work has appeared in Elle Canada, Vogue Italia, Vogue India, Factice, Sharp, Schon, Vulkan, Clin D'Oeil, and Chic. He has also been called on as a makeup artist on the International Fashion Week show circuit in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Andrea Claire is a hairstylist and makeup artist with extensive print, runway and on-air makeover experience. Her talent and hard work has presented her with opportunities to work in Toronto, L.A., Paris, Thailand, Singapore and New York.
Andrea has many years of experience both on-camera and behind the scenes in television. She has also co-starred on seven seasons of the makeover shows Canada’s Stylin’ Gypsies and So Chic and has led hair teams for Canadian Idol where she was featured on-air as the Idols’ hairstylist.
Andrea is a versatile, respected member of the industry, authoring beauty articles with tips, tricks and trends, and leading teams for New York and Toronto Fashion Weeks. Her celebrity clients include Liv Lo, Henry Golding, Romee Strijd, Lady Antebellum, The Bond Quartet, Miranda Richardson, Bill Nighy, The Veronicas, and Seal to name a few. Andrea’s drive for success and lively, easy-going nature is what makes her so popular among top clientele.
Natasha Budovitch is a Toronto-based Art Director who has been working on all sides of the industry for 10 years. A Ryerson grad , focusing in Fashion retail Natasha has Art directed some of Canada’s biggest retail chains, such as Suzy Shier, Sears and Hudson’s Bay. She also spent time as a modeling agent with Elite Model Management. She likes to refer to herself as a quad-breed, a Producer, a booker, an Agent and an Art Director all rolled into one.
ANYA NORDSTROM DEVEAUX
Nordström began her career in fashion as an international model at the age of 13 with Chantale Nadeau and travelled to Asia and Greece for contracts while based between Toronto and New York. Later in her career, she took an editorial position at Seventeen Magazine covering fashion and lifestyle. She transitioned into public relations a decade ago in New York City, producing RTW runway shows and presentations at NYFW. Following a move to Toronto in 2014, she established her own company, ANPR which then merged with a Toronto-based firm to create NordströmMatte Public Relations. She joined SENTALER in 2019 as the in-house Senior Publicist and Executive Assistant to the President and Creative Director at SENTALER.
Cynthia was fashion stylist/production coordinator for over 20 yrs. Her production end included General Motors, Air Canada and Chatelaine Crafts and Norma Design. As sheventured fully into Styling she specialized in lingerie and swimwear for the catalogue side. She have since retired and relocated to Muskoka.
This fashion photographer from Montreal is unequalled when it comes to capture the beauty of each and every one of his subjects. A man of passion and great talent with a unique signature, he is know for his collaborations with NOI.SE, Schön!, Marie-Claire China, Elle Québec, GLASSbook just to name a few.
Working in the modelling industry for the past 10 years, Lyndon is an image maker and technical expert. He has developed content and strategy for top models through various mediums both physical and digital. Lyndon's design and VFX work have been seen in Game of Thrones and the Hunger Games series.
After a career as a fashion model, Saori Niwa scouted the globe for talent on behalf of Wizard Models, Tokyo. From Europe to Asia to Africa, she has discovered a variety of faces and helped each to flourish. We trust her eyes.
Saori just launched her own agency in Toronto.
Shaun Marq began his career working with models in 2004 and opened Faceforward- a model and talent agency in Toronto.
After 5 years in Entertainment, the pull to fashion communications eventually led Shaun to transition Faceforward into fashion PR, sales and marketing agency Agence Select and he has since worked with some of the world's biggest brands. Shaun has produced countless runway shows for NYFW and TFW, styled for local and international magazines and dresses for the Oscars, Grammys, red carpets and film premieres all over the globe.
In 2015 he opened up a lifestyle boutique in Toronto and now travels the world designing multiple clothing lines and an accessory/lifestyle brand.
With an eye for talent, Shaun continues to scout, train and place models within agencies across North America.

Courtenay lead a successful career as an international model but was determined to learn more about the industry so attended a school for fashion business which lead her to now being agency owner of Key Model Management in Vancouver. Now six years later Key Models is considered one of the top agencies in Canada collaborating with all the top agencies worldwide.
